Salman Khan At Press Conference for 68th Filmfare Awards
At the press conference, Salman Khan arrived in a black suit and grey shirt and looked dashing. He started his speech with a witty response when he was called India’s Bhaijaan by the reporter. He expressed his opinion about why Hindi films aren’t working well at the box office these days. He said “I have been hearing this for a long time that our Hindi films aren’t working(Kharab picture banaoge toh kaise chalegi).
Everyone thinks that he/she is making a Mughal-e-Azam, Sholay, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, or Dilwale, but they don’t eventually make it. These days filmmakers think that India is from Colaba to Andheri. I have met many filmmakers who think that way. However, Hindustan is way different.
Further, he is hoping that his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan proves him right. I hope my words won’t come to bite me. People shouldn’t question what kind of film I’ve made.(Meri film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan release ho rahi he, toh yeh mujhpe baari na padni chahiye). The truth is, we have worked very hard for this film. We have a few movies which did great at the box office and those are our Hindustani films.
Salman About Compeition with New Generation Actors
Salman Khan was asked about the competition they are facing from the new generation of actors. He didn’t hesitate to tag a dig at the young actors. He said, “All of them are hard working and are very focused. But the five of us are not giving up so easily. The five include Shah Rukh, Aamir, Me, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn”.
We increase our fees as our films do well at the box office. To combat that, the young actors will increase their fees when we aren’t available and it happens even though their films didn’t do well.
The actor shared a shirtless picture on his gram lately and displaying his abs wrote “May look like it but definitely not chilling”.
Salman has done a Cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. His next film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salma Khan.
